The halušky was quite bland, and the black pan dish mainly consisted of grilled vegetables with only three small pieces of meat. The chef was unwilling to substitute bacon for onion, even for an extra 10 euros. The only positives were the live folk music and the friendly waitress. Overall, the food was just average and not worth the high prices. It seems like the cook may not be familiar with the concept of seasoning with salt.
This dining experience was exceptional in every aspect. The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant for a wonderful evening out.
This restaurant is fantastic, with a traditional Slovak atmosphere and a wide selection of tasty dishes at affordable prices. We visited for dinner and tried the beef tartare (served uniquely under a smoky cover), pork ribs, and bryndzové halušky, all of which were delicious. The staff were knowledgeable and professional, able to suggest dishes and fluent in Slovak, English, and German. We will definitely be returning.
