Mara’s Cafe And Bakery - Denville

I happened to come across this restaurant by chance, as they were having a grand reopening. I had a fantastic experience with friendly staff, delicious food, and mouthwatering desserts. When it comes to parking, it's best to have a plan. There are a few spots out front, but the main parking area is located behind the building. The entrance is welcoming, with new tables and chairs inside. Depending on what you're in the mood for, you can go left or right through the doors. If you go right, you'll find a wonderful selection of authentic homemade gelato, with more flavors than you can imagine. It's made on-site by one of the new owners who learned how to make gelato in Italy. On the left side of the cafe, there is seating for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I opted for breakfast for lunch, enjoying some eggs and home fries. The ordering system may be a bit confusing at first, but once you do it once, you'll know for your next visit. Simply place your order at the front, they'll call your name, and you can pick it up at the counter. The desserts are incredible, with fresh cupcakes, pies, cakes, and bars to satisfy your sweet tooth. I tried the peanut butter bar and it was outstanding. If this is just a taste of what's to come, Mara's is sure to thrive in Denville. It's great to see a small business doing well on Main Street USA. Best of luck to them – I'll definitely be back soon to try each dessert, one by one. I absolutely loved this place.

I visited this restaurant for a quick meal two weeks ago and had a great experience! They offer a wide variety of brunch and lunch options, as well as a large dessert menu. I ordered the Western Burger (pictured below), which was topped with crispy onions and bacon. The portion size was generous and the burger was delicious. Service was prompt and I also enjoyed a latte (pictured below) topped with whipped cream as a nice treat after the meal. The atmosphere at the restaurant is also excellent, making it a great spot for casual lunches, studying, or taking business clients out for breakfast. I would definitely come back again.

Mara did an amazing job on a giant, two-tier cake made entirely of buttercream (no awful fondant) for my son's 30th birthday party! It was not only delicious but also absolutely stunning. It was a big hit with everyone, especially my son! Thank you, Betsey xo.

I originally wanted a black and white cookie, but they only had red and green ones for Christmas, so I opted for something else. I ended up getting a cannoli, which was crispy and pretty standard. Just a heads up, they don't mention it when you order, but the Ricotta filling has chocolate chips in it (not sure if they have a chocolate-free option). They have a wide variety of cakes, cookies, and other pastries. The bakery is connected to another restaurant on the right side as you walk in. Parking is available in the front or back of the building, or on the street.
