Veggie, vegan and plenty of gluten free options. Nothing too much trouble. Brought loads home to freeze too! Water provided for dogs.
A fabulous little bakery in the village of Youlgreave set in the Peak District. Offers a wide range of freshly made cakes and snacks ideal before or after a day's walk in the stunning area. Seating available outside for tea/coffee and cake. Friendly service.
Googled coffee shops in Youlgrave at the end of a great 9 mile hike and found this place hidden in a back lane! A working bakery with a cafe attached, lovely choice of cakes, I had an apricot cake, wife had lemon, both were lovely and moist, coffee was great as well. All for £9.00!!
I had heard good things about the brownies from Peak Feast from my family and I had a chance to try them for myself on a recent trip home to the area. It was quite late in the day when we got there so they didn’t have the full range of flavours on offer but it still proved to be a difficult choice After a lot of prevaricating I eventually chose the Toblerone brownie and I have to say it was delicious rich, gooey and chewy on the inside and crispy on top. I have it on good authority that the Turkish Delight brownie is heavenly as is the Twix one. I have my eye on the ginger or orange one for next time! They do really good Homity Pies for a picnic too and we’ve enjoyed them in the past whilst walking in the area. Definitely worth seeking out this little place if you’re in the area.
Such great food. We had homity pie and coleslaw, toasted cranberry brie sandwiches and biscotti cake. All were wonderful and are highly recommended. The tea and a flat white were very good too and the staff very friendly. A thoroughly enjoyable visit in a grand Peak District village.
