Wagyu Mcguire's Japanese Sushi Steaks

We had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The food was fresh and served quickly. It's a fantastic spot for sushi and a beer. We'll definitely return whenever we're back in town.

The food is incredible, the service is phenomenal, and the ambiance is absolutely stunning. Every time I visit Destin, Florida, I make it a point to come here.

What kind of sushi restaurant doesn't allow you to order your nigiri lightly seared? It really enhances the flavor of the fish. The salad was simply a quarter of an unchopped iceberg lettuce. The teriyaki chicken was bland, with no seasoning except for some pepper. Save yourself the disappointment and avoid this place.

The sushi and Wagyu were quite mediocre—if it even was Wagyu, as it didn’t taste like it, and the filet we ordered certainly didn’t have the flavor expected from a filet. However, for Destin, it’s a solid option. The place wasn’t crowded at all, the decor was lovely, and the service was excellent. Their sushi selection isn’t very extensive. The spider rolls were decent, but the sashimi was of very high quality and reasonably priced; it was actually the highlight of the meal and some of the best tuna I’ve tasted. While it may not impress die-hard sushi or steak lovers, it’s a pleasant spot for dinner in Destin.
