Avaliação da contribuiçãoCool atmosphere. great service. my fish sandwich and pommes were meh when it came to taste. the bungalow was soft. the fish was hot. the hate absorbed the tartaric acid sauce that took away the taste of the sauce. the fish was tender, but did not taste like something again. my pfirsich sangria also had no fancy taste. other friends in our party liked their eating, so maybe it was just my palette.
I was really excited to give Union Assembly a try, given the cool look of the place, the publicity it received when it opened, and the fact that it's in the new Little Caesars headquarters building. To be honest, it was a case of anticappointment. The inside is super cool, don't get be wrong. We were seated at a table near the windows along Woodward, close to a separate door into the building for what I believe is a small indoor seating area for Mom's Spaghetti. People were always coming in, looking for Mom's Spaghetti and not knowing it's a window on the side of the building. As a result, we always had people awkwardly standing around out table. I don't understand why they didn't have better signs. The food menu was just a bit weird to me. I can be a little picky, but my girlfriend isn't, and she found a hard time finding something she wanted without having to make a modification. I ordered a burger, which was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. I want to give Union Assembly another try, perhaps on a gameday with nice weather where I can try out the second floor open air bar.
Service was fantastic, food was pretty good, but expensive. The location is perfect if you're looking for a sit down meal before a game. I would go back.
Nice spot. Rather busy, so I would recommend a reservation! It's right next to Comerica park and the Fox Theater, so it's rather convenient when out in Detroit. It was a bit loud inside, but the food was tasty. They sat my girlfriend and I on the second floor, which gave a nice view.
When I asked Sakinah for the paper menu, she said it 's outdated and that 's all they have so, I had someone else order my drinks. As much as it 's not Sakinah 's fault, it just sucks this is the requirement, especially if you 're out using your phone all day and at an event then you come to eat after and your phones at 4% anyhow, drink menu is digital at this time of service. Trendy vibe, outdoor seating and unique, private-ish intimate, upper deck seating. Music was not overbearing, the outside seating was open, kinda windy with a breeze. It 's almost like a trendy diner environment. Food: options were pretty limited considering the size. But scale back and look at the menu, it 's really just basic chicken, burger and limited (pizza? options like the 'hot dog ' pizza? I ordered the hotdog pizza... because.. when can you order a hotdog pizza? They also had swordfish? The menu is really all over the place making it questionable what 'style ' of food they might actually specialize in. When I waited ten minutes for my server I went outside and ordered Moms Spaghetti, seen my server smoking (guess that 's what she was so short and in a hurry for Drinks: f 'n amazing drinks. Garnished great, alcohol was not overbearing but well for the price (which was reasonable $10-15 I got the sidecar and the pain killer. Service: This is where it took nearly all stars away. I couldn 't finish a full sentence without the waitress just walking away before I finished. Just super rude, or having an off day maybe, all I know is, it was awkward and off, not friendly and the manager had to bring out the food due to the server wanting to hang out in the kitchen giving back rubs have a good night Sakinah, hopefully your week gets better. All in all the food was prepared well. The drinks, the best thing for the money, time and well, I wouldn 't come here for just drinks or ever again probably but, if I was dug here, I would just order a drink.
