This was our favorite restaurant when we lived in Diamond Bar, we still go back whenever we go through the area. Love it.
Last time I ate at this place was in the 80s. Any place that has been around that long must be doing something right.
I recently dined at Mandarin Taste Restaurant in Diamond Bar and had a mixed experience. The restaurant quickly seated us, and we ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken, Beef with Garlic Sauce, Mongolian Beef, Egg Fried Rice, and Egg Rolls. The food portions were decent and arrived promptly. However, the service left something to be desired. Our server was not very attentive, and I had to chase him down to order more dishes and request the check. This lack of attentiveness impacted the overall dining experience.Despite the service issues, the food itself was satisfactory. The flavors were good, and the portions were generous. I appreciated the variety of dishes on the menu, and everything we tried was flavorful. In conclusion, while the experience at Mandarin Taste was not bad overall, there is room for improvement in the service department. I may give this restaurant another chance in the future, hoping for better service.
I lived in Diamond Bar for alot of my life and never tried this till recently . I got the honey walnut shrimp and lo Mein noodles. The honey shrimp was juicy and the batter and flavoring was good as well as the portion size was nice amount. What killed it for me they had this creamy sauce it was served in and the texture and appearance was like mayo. I really didn't care for it. Maybe I'll say sauce on side next time lol idk . Some chines places do their honey walnut that way with too much of the creamy sauce and others do it the panda express way just sticky sauce and walnuts . I guess I prefer the panda way. Now the lo mein noodles were good flavor wise . My mom liked them more than me and has ordered a few times since . However she cooks up shrimp and adds sauce to them at home . You get a big portion of noodles and served with beef, shrimp and chicken. I liked the beef and shrimp but the chicken not so much so I prefer it not have it . Overall I'd maybe try it again because they had some other interesting dishes plus the prices were a bit better than PF. Overall between MT and PF I'd go with PF.
