The Vue - Dublin

Family Sunday lunch in Vue restaurant, Castleknock Golf Club. Called in without a reservation and got a lovely table overlooking the golf course. Great value Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Half portions for kids and relaxing time for all.

We had our daughters christening meal here recently in the function room. All my family have been raving about the food and service since! The staff provided a playmat and some toys in the room as we had around 10 children attending. It was great to have a space for the kids to play when they finished eating and the adults didn't need to worry about them running off! Will be trying to book this again for all family occasions.

Have dined there previously and was impressed , but this time starters were ok , but mains was terrible , my friend had chicken curry and I had rib eye steak , both dishes fell far short of 'Good ' we left have behind. Prices are reasonable , staff were very good.

Staff was friendly, prices were reasonable, food was very good, and the view was great. Would recommend this place to friends.

We had a group of 43 playing golf followed by a 2 cours meal in the restaurent. We had given a list to the staff 24 hours in advance of what each golfer was having for starter main course. We waited a while for our starters but the main problem we had was, that when the main meal was being served there was a gap of 45 minutes before the first person was served and the last person being served.2 of our golfers had to ask 3 times for their main meal. So my only complaint was the service it lacked organisation in my opinion. The food was very good but as it was getting late in the evening. 2 of our golfers were only having their main meal when everybody else was getting ready to go home.
