We stopped in thinking this was a typical pub serving pub grub, but this steak turned out to be really tasty. With it, they included some nice and healthy fries, onion rings, and pepper sauce to dip it all in.
This was my first stop, first meal and first Guinness in Ireland and it did not disappoint. I'm not sure if it was exhaustion or jet lag but it was definitely the best Guinness of the whole trip. I did try Guinness all throughout the country and soon realized certain taps definitely tasted better. So I recommend this place for Guinness. The food was also delicious! They also had live music and the guy was really very talented. It was the perfect place to enjoy the first night in Dublin of my two week adventure in Ireland.
Early Sunday supper with Mr Muscle. Pretty quiet around 4. Servers were very accommodating throughout. Started with onion rings. Served hot and fresh. I ordered the Sunday dinner special, roast beef. Delicious! Huge portion of beef served with mashed potatoes, carrots, and broccolinni. Also a small potato.. love those potatoes. Mr. Muscle turned it to be very adventurous and ordered the Irish stew. Wow, super gamey. So he finished my dinner. Pub food at its finest. Really enjoyed it. Dinners were 14.95 euro each. Killer deal on my entree!
Brill place music fantastic. Guinness good also..staff good fun
The place is pretty much anti family. We tried going to this place at the recommendation of our hotel. First time it was around lunchtime, we walked in and there were tons of empty tables but the hostess turned us down saying that there was no possible way we could sit us. Two nights later we were trying to grab a later dinner at 6:55. We were hoping that our last experience was a fluke, nope! Walked in and asked for a table. Even though the bar and tables were empty, the staff told us it was illegal to serve children any dinner after 7pm. We just walked out and went to Foleys- they served us a great dinner without hesitation. Pretty disappointing establishment and the worst we have ever been treated in Dublin
