Avaliação da contribuiçãoVisited this beautiful Italian tavern in sedgley on Mother's Day with my wife and step sohn. my god, I am glad that I did that, the service was exceptional, not only with a vast knowledge about eating and wein, but was very flexible as our taxi ran late. I can honestly say if they love Italian they do not have a better meal, we have ordered quite a lot from the menu and it is all simply melted in their mouths, the aromen were simply lovely, and not over price too. the best meal we had in years, and the kant wait to return. awesome!
Booked a table for arrived and sitting immediately, glad that we booked as it was super busy. I had the meatballs for appetizers (except without parmesan, but they came with them anyway), got meatballs in a beautiful tomato sauce, my wife had the...scampi, which was a big part, but seemingly simple. I had the pollo ala crema (hence in a mushroom sauce with veg), it was beautiful and again a decent part with chicken breast, my wife had the risotto (spicky sausage and rice), which was again beautiful and a great part. we would probably have stayed for dessert, but since I felt uncomfortable, we got the rest of our main thing to go and had to go, next time we are in the opposite, there will be a need to visit
The service at this restaurant was fantastic, the food was tasty, and the overall experience was enjoyable. The only minor complaint is that the drinks were overpriced for the limited selection available.
I tried to place an order by phone. However, when I asked the ingredients of her calzone, I was informed that they were too busy to go through the menu. what, if I had to know for medical reasons, allergies start! it wasn't the whole menu I asked about. exactly what was meat in the calzone. one day, this lack of customer service will be lost to her.
We have dined at this restaurant for Christmas lunch twice before and have always been impressed. However, our latest visit was quite different. We had made a reservation and paid for a group of people, but unfortunately one of our party members came down with covid and could not attend. We explained the situation upon arrival, but there was no sympathy or empathy shown towards the missing guests, who had already paid in full. We were not seeking a refund, just some understanding as we know it was not their fault. The quality of the starter and main course was decent, but the service fell short of our previous experiences. We were only asked once if we wanted more drinks, and the desserts took nearly an hour to arrive. We had to follow up multiple times on the desserts and were repeatedly told they would be out soon. It is regretful to leave this review as we have always enjoyed dining at this establishment. Perhaps some staff training could improve the overall experience.
