We visited this restaurant after looking for somewhere different to eat in Ostrasse and the surrounding area of which we were staying. From the outside it looked delightful with authentic decor and the menu appeared accessible being printed in English as well as German. Upon sitting down our drink order was taken, the restaurant was relatively empty with only another Chinese family inside, and the drinks returned fast. However as my friend deliberated on her order, only a couple of minutes after the drinks had arrived, the waitress got aggravated as if she expected us to have decided immediately. Having picked our meals I tried to swap the noodles included for rice as I am allergic to wheat and couldn't eat the noodles, when asking if this was possible the waitress demanded I "pay more money" even though I was simply seeing if I could swap what appears to be an interchangeable side dish. Trying to explain that I couldn't eat the noodles and simply wanted rice instead was a task in itself she did not understand and you would think waiting staff would have some allergen knowledge in the advertised languages. After attempting to explain 3 more times and each time the waitress demanding we "pay more money" and not even discussing the options I tried to change my order. That however wasn't "allowed" as it was already cooking. Me and my friend were very upset and intimidated by the waitresses negative attitude and rude behaviour when we tried to cater for my dietary requirements and therefore decided we were paying for the drinks and leaving as we didn't want to eat in such a hostile environment. What I presumed to be the manager came over and asked if we were "having duck" and didn't attempt to solve the problem. We left quickly and will never return again.
Visited here on a whim as the restaurant we intended to go to (opposite) was closed.Start soup was nice, as was the spring roll.We had a main each and they were large portions, so we shared each others. The prawn crackers were given to us and they were actually Thai crackers which is strange as the restaurant is definitely Chinese themed, with lovely interior decorations.Service was good- a little slow if I was going to be nit picky and the food was not served together which was disappointing.Prices are reasonable, so I would recommend a visits if you're stuck for places to eat (which you won't be!).
This restaurant is very nice decorated in Chinese style. The food is excellent and the price very good compare with other Chinese restaurants I have been in another country.
Busy Chinese restaurant were also a lot of Chinese people to out for dinner. Not expensive and good quality of the food. We where with 3 people and we ordered 4 main courses. Spring roll as a starter. Paid 70 euro with 6 drinks (4 soft and 2 beers)
