The Jitsu - Dunedin

The dumplings are large, food is affordable, huge portions, and the staff goes beyond and beyond. The waitress told us without asking us that the dumplings were 100% vegan, as some people find the texture very similar to meat! How nice! The curries tasted like in Japan, and the soup was delicious. We're gonna go back here, try everything! Recommend the Bentobox with the “drilled” vegan meat, 10/10!

Many vegan options here. We tried the vegan Bento with teriyaki tofu and the katsu vegan curry (with Sunfed ‘Chicken’ both we are very delicious and well appreciated. Only down there was that we were not shown a drink menu or asked if we wanted any drinks. UPDATE (March 2022: still a separate vegan menu and delicious food, but they still don't give drinks menus without... Updated from the previous review on 2020 02 15

The vegan menu is super so much to choose! I had a Katsu curry that was delicious, the sunk chicken was amazing with it.

Lots of vegan options, All delicious, very affordable. Watch out, the miso isn’t vegan but they have a yummy alternative small soup
