Avaliação da contribuiçãoIf I could leave 0 stars I would. If you want bad service, tiny portions and overpriced food then this is the place for you. My family was visiting so I thought I would bring them here as we have eaten here numerous times before and loved it. NEW OWNERS NEW STAFF NEW MENU We arrived at 7:30 and found out after ordering that they closed at 8pm. No problem we thought plenty of time. When we placed out order they were out of so many things on the menu that are standard at a Mexican restaurant. No Chili Rellano, No lemons, and other items I cannot remember. Almost everything we asked for the waitress said well actually we don 't have that We should have got up and left but we hung in there. Big mistake.... The enchilada plate for 14.99 didn 't include meat that was an extra charge of almost $3. When the plates came out the enchilada was so small it wouldn 't even be considered an appetizer size and had no cheese. We tried to order a side of Nachos (cheese and Chips only) for a 3 year old and were told no sorry that 's not on the menu. We begged and they eventually relented and made it. We had to continually ask for anything we needed like salsa or refills on our drinks. When we were almost done the waitress obviously wanted us gone and while we are still eating she is trying to clear the table. We felt rushed and then to add insult to injury they only take CASH but they have an ATM in the bar area which charges you an extra $3 to get cash so you can pay the bill. Dont waste your time with this place. Go somewhere else where they will treat you right and give you a portion that is actual dinner size. Its shameful that businesses like this exist today.
This place has new owners. So the menu we saw online is definitely not the menu you get. The new menu is considerably smaller. After finding out that there were new owners, it is understandable. Gotta get your sea legs and all. Our server was brand new, only her 2nd day on the job and was great. Cash only, so make sure to bring cash with you, or use the ATM they have inside. Just be prepared for the ATM fees. As for the food, there wasn 't any real flavor to it without adding sauce to it. My fiancé 's food came with 2 sauces, mine did not. Good thing he likes to share.
What was once great Mexican food, is no more. Several menus items were sold out by 6:00PM. Two of us ordered fajitas and they came out with the meat overcooked and there were no peppers, just meat and onions. The chef forgot to prepare our side dishes and we had to ask for them and waited 15 additional minutes. The waitress was doing her best and informed us that the family that had run La Perla had sold it a month earlier and this was a new owner. To top all, we were informed after our meal that they don’t take credit cards. Can’t see this place lasting..
WARNING: As of June 2022 this restaurant is under new ownership and is not the same restaurant that people are raving about. I had the worst dining experience of my life at the “new” La Perla. I ordered a large takeout order at 7pm and waited ONE HOUR AND FORTY MINUTES for our food. The order was missing items and the waitress offered us zero compensation for our time (even though she had lost our ticket, causing the delay) or for the missing items. The food was simply put…. BAD. It was tasteless and luke warm and did not resemble Mexican food. My young daughter makes better burritos than La Perla. Do yourself a favor and make a trip to Mt Shasta and eat at Casa Ramos. I flushed $200 down the toilet ordering the dog food they serve at this hell hole.
Food is really good. The beans are amazing. Portion size is a bit wanting. Under new management. Pricing makes it to where it's a treat and not a staple location for the family, cash only. Waitress is awesome! Recommend!
