A Greek restaurant in tiny, out-of-the-way Eastport, Maine! Who'd a thunk it? The place is owned by a Greek-American who moved to Maine from Indiana. For lunch, I had very good avgolemono soup and a dynamite gyro with thick chunks (not shavings) of perfectly seasoned lamb and beef. The restaurant has an attractive deck in back overlooking the water and also some tables outside in front, but it was a bit chilly, so we sat inside. If you are spending only a few hours in Eastport, this is the place to eat.

My wife, daughter and I all enjoyed this spot. We were seated on the back deck and enjoyed a great view of the bay for lunch. The staff was courteous and fairly attentive, although our waitress was a little lacking in her beer knowledge (probably a good thing, since she appeared to be very young. We got hummus, spanakopita, and a gyro. I was skeptical about getting Greek food here, but it was uniformly delicious. The spanakopita was perfect, and the lamb gyro was simple and well seasoned. Would definitely head back when I am next in Eastport.
