Red Onion - Edison

I decided to try this restaurant after reading the positive reviews online. The service was satisfactory, and the ambiance was relatively comfortable, although the restroom was quite dirty and in need of attention. Unfortunately, the food we ordered fell short of our expectations. The scallion pancake mainly tasted like fried dough with very few scallions, and the oyster omelet had only a handful of oysters. While the prices were reasonable, it's disappointing to sacrifice food quality.

We have dined at this restaurant around five times, and we absolutely adore the Taiwanese cuisine. The flavors are strikingly similar to authentic dishes from Taiwan, though individual experiences may vary based on personal taste. They feature a wide range of unique Taiwanese dishes that are difficult to find elsewhere in the U.S. Moreover, the owner is very friendly and welcoming.

I wish I could rate this restaurant more highly, but the prices are simply too high for the quality and portion sizes provided. The oyster omelette and popcorn chicken were good, but at those prices, I anticipated either a more elevated take on Taiwanese cuisine or larger servings. Some of the vegetable dishes are priced excessively. I would think about coming back if they reduced their prices, as the food is decent; however, given that the atmosphere and presentation aren’t anything special, it doesn't feel worth the expense to dine here.

The restaurant has a family-friendly atmosphere, complete with engaging toys for the kids. The food was enjoyable overall, though the oyster omelet could have used more flavor. The dining environment and service were both pleasant. The decor showcased a true appreciation for the beauty of Taiwan.

This is an exceptional restaurant that warmly welcomes families. The service is friendly and makes you feel at home. I highly recommend trying the oyster omelette and the beef noodle soup; both are absolutely delicious!
