Excelente! Nós amamos a comida e as bebidas!
We had a lovely family dinner here, especially enjoying the beef short ribs, the picanah steak, and the baby lobster linguine (which is part of the restaurant’s summer menu). The beef short ribs were served almost like a meat loaf, but very soft and tender pulls to it. The lobster linguine was very creamy and rich, with grilled shrimp as the perfect accent to it. We also really enjoyed the Korean Fried Cauliflower as a perfectly sized appetizer for four people. A decent kick of spice in it, but not enough if you’re looking for something to really make you sweat. The pizookie was a great desert to cleanse our pallets too!Overall the service here was very pleasant and the food was served really fast. The only concern was that we could see that none of the cooks in the kitchen (visible through a glass window) were wearing hairnets. I’m curious as to whether this is not required of restaurants anymore hoping your food doesn’t get served with hair on it!
Went here for a birthday date night and shared appetizers and wow! We live in the area and have definitely slept on this place! We weren't too sure initially but after coming here, we will make a treat of it more often! We wanted a blast of flavour and we got it! Each and every bite we had was better than the last! If you haven't tried this place, do yourself a favour and go for it!
Had to change my reservations a few times and they were so accommodating! The customer service was great besides the weird look I got when I ordered a pineapple margarita? My server Mark was great at first, and then was more attentive to other tables than ours. I wish I could have grabbed the name of the girl who was really helpful after that! She was so friendly and super personable. The food was definitely a 5/5! We ordered the Gull Valley Tomato Bruschetta and the only complaint I have is I would have loved more balsamic glaze. For dinner we had the Balsamic Chicken and the Hoisin Glazed Beef Short Ribs, both were amazing! The chicken was moist and the crispy Brussel sprouts were a great addition to the dish. The short rib was extremely tender, and full of flavour. The food also came out very quickly after our starter, which was great. Overall 4/5, really only took away was my experience with Mark. Will definitely come back!
Ok but definitely not worth the price. Unfortunately feels like a place that takes itself far too seriously. The interior of the restaurant was nice and we got a table right beside the kitchen. Had a reservation and unfortunately arrived 10 minutes late but the staff was friendly and said it wouldn’t be a problem if we were finished by 8:30. I don’t think I have ever had a multi-hour meal for two people intentionally, so that wasn’t a concern. Starting with an appetizer of mussels, sauce was delicious, but the mussels were hit and miss with many overcooked/deflated or busted. Fries also had a burnt flavor to them. Kind-of a small portion as you can see for $33, but the sauce saved the dish so I would give it a 7/10. Baby Lobster Linguini was next for one of the mains. This was very tasty but they didn’t fully clean the shrimp (gross) and it was heavy on the sauce and lite on the linguini. Again, portion size was not what you would expect for a $45 pasta dish but that was my expectation walking through the door so I’d give it another 7/10. Finally, our second main was the Scallop Farro Risotto. Make sure you reread that name because my mistake was missing the word farro. This was not risotto at all, it was farrow with tiny cut veggies mixed in and absolutely drenched in oil, making it appear more like a soup than risotto. It was completely inedible, I might as well have gone to KFC and taken a ladle from the fryer, the only flavor was oil. To top it off the scallops were cut in half and either burnt dry or half raw. Pro tip: when the base of a $45 dish consists of $0.50 worth of farrow faux ‘rice’, maybe splurge and give the guest five-six full scallops. Don’t cook one side and cut them in half, looks extremely low rent at this price point. Each of us took one bite and couldn’t eat it. 0/10, one of the worst dishes I have ever eaten. When the waiter came to the table he kind of gave me a knowing look when he saw my plate was still full, as though this wasn’t the first time. Since this was a celebratory dinner I didn’t want to ruin the night by complaining so we just asked for the cheque. A little disappointed that the waiter didn’t even inquire if there was a problem with the food but I’m sure he already knew all too well. Besides, it was my own mistake for not reading the menu closer. I would recommend clarifying with the customer that the dish is not technically risotto if/when it is requested in the future as I would have definitely changed my order had I known. Also, please ask that the wait staff stop placing the napkins on customers’ laps, it isn’t 1940 and it’s a bit creepy in 2023. Everyone is capable of placing their napkin exactly where they feel it will be most useful. All in all the experience was just ok so I can’t justify the price tag or going back. With one glass of wine and the dishes listed above the bill for two was $150 tip. For that price I would expect to be blown away. Save your money and go to Cactus Club.
Wow! I thought this would just be another place like Earls but I was pleasantly surprised. We loved everything from the drinks to the food to the service. Everything I had was cooked so perfectly. We were in and out very quickly as well. What a great place. We will definitely be back!
