Restaurant at Hotel Maximilian

Eating and service are excellent. we enjoyed all our dinners and encourage the guests to try hard.

While we were in a charming old guest house right on the road from this hotel, we came here to the hotel maximillian every night to dinner. the eating and wein were so good, and the menu offered so many wonderful sounding things that we wanted to try... everything. Pity that we were not long enough in the city to try everything on the menu, but we surely loved everything we had and we loved the service. such a nice staff. if they are ever in marriage or ruette, Austria, (or visit Neuschwanstein castle) they are here for dinner. the only part is that the dining room is closed one night in the week, but they were open every night for us. we're so glad they were. we loved it and recommend it very much!

High-class maoutain and Bavarian cuisine. we had the famous Bavarian swarms, also called gay haxn. what a dinner, everything too perfected, both starter, the ankle and dessert. switzerland are copied in many restaurants throughout Germany and Europe, but the homeland is bayern, and maximilian really keep the good traditions and provides excellent dishes. we will see each other at any time when we are in oberammergau, this is safe and our best recommendations.

We were staying at the hotel and after sampling one dinner we knew that we wouldn't be going anywhere else for dinner. Excellent presentation with a varied menu that looks as if it is favored by locals and travelers alike. We thought this was one...of the best places we'd dined after visiting eight other countries.

We arrived rather late but had the luck to have dinner when a typical tyrolian band was playing. Food was excellent en service very friendly. At walking distance from the pension we stayed.
