Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Great comfort food like grandma used to make. Fried chicken, chicken pot pie, meatloaf, etc. Great breakfast foods here also. Fast and friendly service. We had the peach cobbler dessert, and is was good. But my favorite dessert is the Coca Cola Cake. It's chocolate fudge cake with chocolate icing, and vanilla ice cream. Served warm. It's awesome!!!

Normally this place is pretty nice and they make you feel welcome as a customer. Tonight however, they treated everyone at the table like it was such a chore to be there BEFORE we were seated. The Manager came over not 3 minutes after we ordered and made it a priority to tell us they closed at 9 (this was 8:15) with hardly any other customers in there we didn't think it would be such an issue but it took 20 minutes for us to get our drinks, and THEN order. Then about another 35-40 minutes for the food to be made badly. When the food did finally come, the plates were hot but somehow the food was cold. They forgot several things and got annoyed when we asked for the things they forgot. The waitress during our interactions had an attitude, and when she saw we were unhappy she made up a sob story to try and get a bigger tip. I'm usually a very understanding person but this experience was not good at all and it will be some time before I go back. Attached is my wife's plate as it was delivered to her. She was to get trout, fruit, and broccoli. They forgot another family members veggies, forgot my son's Fry's, and forgot another family members pancakes.

This restaurant is an excellent choice for family gatherings, as both the food and service are consistently top-notch. We visited for dinner, and the average cost per person ranged from $20 to $30. I highly recommend the Southern Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, and Chicken Pot Pie.

I hadn't been to this restaurant in years, but I decided to give it another try today and was lucky enough to be seated in Crystal's section. She welcomed us immediately and provided fast, friendly service with a bright smile. I will definitely ask to sit in her section again! Thank you, Crystal! Service: Dine-in Meal type: Lunch
