Avaliação da contribuiçãoHad dinner in this fabulous restaurant right underneath Barceló Hamilton in Es castel. It's been closed for a while and only recently Re opened Starter of prawns Devine followed by beautifully cooked turbot and pork belly Lovely wines ... Reasonable prices and service 100% Our waiter George (very charming) was wonderful in helping us choose our wines and food This restaurant has only been re open 4 days but don't let this put u off as it's as good ever !!
This restaurant is part of the Barceló Hamilton hotel but it has been closed for approx 2 years which is a shame as it’s advertised on the jet 2 holiday description as a restaurant within the hotel.
The food was overall ok but there was a huge delay . The restaurant is very expensive and the portions are tiny. Not recomended!
We ate here last night and whilst the pork on asparagus I ordered was lovely and the cod my wife ordered was good both dishes were served without any other accompaniment We had expected salad/rice/potatoes but no, the meat looked rather lonely in its splendid isolation on the plate. That said we enjoyed the food and the lovely bottle of chilled white Rioja that we ordered. The bill was not unreasonable at €58 given the location and the service that said we saw a number of potential diner quit their tables having perused the menu perhaps they spotted the lack of plate content? Try the restaurant but chose carefully if your hungry!
Wanted to book a special place for my partner's special birthday. As this restaurant is part of the Barcelo Hamilton Hotel with stunning views across the port and also adult only hotel and restaurant I thought I had made the perfect choice. I couldn't have been more wrong. The food and service I am afraid was diabolical. We arrived and was asked which table we would like to sit at as at the time we arrived we were the only two people there. We we asked to pick a table of our own choice. We were offered the wine list. Chose a reasonably priced bottle of wine. We were then given the menu. My partner picked muscles with saffron sauce and I chose Sa Cova salad with smoked salmon. Both arrived and both nothing special. Just ok. We had to pour our own wine throughout our meal which I did not expect to do in a restaurant of this class The waiter was very inattentive and seemed very inexperienced. Our main course arrived. My partner chose Ox Entrecôte with fried potatoes. I chose veal tenderloin with oyster mushrooms. Both dishes to be cooked medium rare Both terrible. The steak arrived with chips. Just that. Not a tomato or a lettuce leaf in sight. Just literally steak and chips. Something you would expect from a fast food outlet. Terrible. My partner had to scrape the salted coating off of the steak which it had been cooked in. My veal I could not even cut let alone chew. We obviously complained but no interest or sympathy was shown. I explained it was a special birthday and he said sorry. They took out uneaten meals away. They did ask if we wanted anything else but for obvious reasons we declined. The manager came along a little later and said that he had tried the steak and did not find it salty. Believe you me it definitely was. The waiter asked if we were staying at the hotel. I said no. I don't know whether we would have received a more sympathetic approach had we been residents . Would most definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The view is the only reason I have given it one star. The night before we went to the Biniarroca Rural hotel Sant Lluis. Truly amazing.
