Scotch Plains Tavern - Essex

Great food, especially the entrees. Service was excellent, friendly, and attentive. Definitely make a reservation as it is a popular place and hard to get seats if not planning ahead.

We had a lovely lunch before a matinee show at Goodspeed. Food was VERY good, service was excellent, staff is friendly and attentive, restrooms are very clean.

Great atmosphere and we had an amazing waitress. We felt things were a little expensive (all the on-tap beers were $8 or $9 each) but I guess that's the economy we live in right now.

We had a high top with kids. My own fault for not mentioning when reserving, but made it a little more stressful/difficult to eat dinner. Otherwise delicious great service!

This was close to the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam so it was the perfect place for dinner before the show.
