We decided to have a dinner in this new restaurant. Even if the waiter was lovely and the restaurant welcoming the food was not so exciting. we had a fish pasta but the pasta was overcooked with fish that tested of not so much and even if there were only 8 clients all the dishes came out at a medium temperature. Bread was ridiculously priced and being an Italian restaurant who wants to go for the real slow food culture bread should be there everywhere at every corner. Not necessarily for free but not even for 8 or 12 dollars. We also had an entree that was ok but again poorly served. We than had a meat course. Interesting combination but was lacking salt and again the temperature of the dish was very low. I think the restaurant has a lot of potential but Vito I assume is the chef) should risk a little bit more, put more salt in his dishes and if a real Italian don't be scared to push the real Italian slow food movement and food
Came here on the restaurants locals night with my partner. We ended up having some crispy bread with cheese to start, it had some lovely sort of jam or relish. Our mains were Osso Bucco and Ragu pasta. We ended up sharing everything. The beef was so juicy and perfect on this cold night. The place has a lovely cosy feeling to it. Thanks again to the young gentleman who looked after us. We will defiantly be back again.
We were delighted to discover this lovely little restaurant during a recent night out to the Cinema Paradiso at Ettalong Beach The menu was really authentic & they've steered away from the usual 'pizza & parmigiana' which is a refreshing change to what we're used to experiencing from other local Italian restaurants. Being vegetarian & gluten free was no problem either, I had the housemade gnocchi with pumpkin/gorganzola sauce and it was the best gnocchi I've eaten outside Italy. My partner ordered the 'Misto' seafood soup (without the bread as he's GF) and said it was delicious. Both our meals were of generous size and we felt full from one main each, but having a sweet tooth still split a rasberry pannacotta for dessert, which did not disappoint us ;)The decor & design is modern, yet quite rustic. The place feels more upmarket and a good spot for either a romantic night or a nice meal out with friends. There's no kids menu here, so looks like they cater to more of an older crowd, which suits us well. The pleasant waitstaff were dressed smartly, plus knowledgeable on the menu. Our table water was kept topped up all night. We'll be sure to return on a weeknight when they do specials like locals night & Sardinian night!
There were six of us for dinner, a small menu to choose from and we were told we could not order small size main for entree( limited entree selection). My mussel entree was tasty however I had three unopened mussels out of twelve! My wife had the seafood bisque for main at $38, over cooked and watery. My daughter had the Duck off the blackboard, she was told it was a share size however barely enough for one. Best meal of the night was a pasta.
