Creperie Saint Germain - Evanston

Everything was nice. The only thing I have to say is that the cheese plate was very small and the service was too long. Otherwise the food was really good and the decoration of the restaurant was nice.

Granted, this restaurant for dinner at Bastille Day might not have been the best idea. Many others had the same idea. As a result, the service was very slow this evening. The food was delicious. Wine was also beautiful. A lively accordionist in the restaurant added to the French ambience. Our waiter thanked us for our patience and apologized for the slow service this evening. The menu is limited, focused and well made. Both Entrees and the appetizer were delicious.

I've never been there because they don't honor my reservation. But since there was a loud accordion player who would have made it impossible to hear each other, I'm glad we had to find somewhere else.

The food was delicious, but the service was extremely slow. It seemed like they were short-staffed because the two servers were struggling to keep up. I would recommend going during a less busy time for a better experience. Sunday lunch was frustrating.
