We have been regular customers for years and always have been so pleased. The past two times of visiting however have been disappointing. Last night we were waiting for over an hour and a half for dinner. I appreciate staff are difficult to get but the attention to detail was disappointing. We didn’t get an apology for the lateness of food. And when we came to pay the bill we were over charged but luckily we noticed. Good however was delicious but just very disappointed by the service.
We were looking forward to our meal at the Oakmere but were very disappointed with the whole experience really ! This Dining Room has hada great deal of money spent on its re-design with subtle divisions of planters around the room as as to provide privacy to diners and the creation of an open kitchen galley adjacent to enhance the atmosphere. None of this worked for us as the menu choice was both limited and expensive. The restaurant lacked any form of ambience as the Service was so poor and the whole point of seeing the chefs working was negated as you couldn’t see them.
Fantastic restaurant and the food is cooked to order and is served nice and hot. Great menu, plenty of choice. Great breakfast menu. We will definitely be back. We love the Hotel too.
The food was lovely and very well presented with an excellent choice of wines.
