Hilltop Truck Stop - Fairbanks

Old time truck stop on the elliot highway, with excellent eating. they never know who they could go in here; Ice rink truck, or even local iditarod.

Just like the name of this place lies at the top of a hill. on the other side there is a general loading of sorts and a caffe. I was here years ago.

We decided to try some pie at this restaurant based on a friend's suggestion and we were very pleased with our experience. It is the cleanest truck stop I have ever visited. The staff was extremely courteous and the pie was delicious!

The homemade pies and selection of supplies and fuel were a nice touch. The pies were good, especially the blueberry filling which was delicious, though the crust was just ok. Overall, it was a pleasant spot to stop after a hike.

Drove out to get some breakfast. We had the biscuits and gravy, two eggs and a morning burger. The food was delicious. Staff is very friendly.
