Huge portions. Lots of variety. We make it a must stop every time we are near. Don't let the queue scare you, it goes remarkably fast
We passed through Bancroft on our way to Ottawa and stopped here for a break. We treated ourselves to ice cream and were happily surprised at the huge portions we got! We each had two scoops, and chose different flavours from a large variety posted on the wall. You can get a waffle cone or a cup, and I am glad I chose the cup because there was so much to eat it would have melted on me before I could eat it all! Our favourites were Bear Claw, Death by Chocolate, Moose Tracks and Pralines and Cream. We enjoyed every mouthful and highly recommend stopping if you are ever in the area. Lots of parking!
Friendly service, great ice cream, easy access off the highway, worth the wait during the busy tourist season
We stopped here as we were driving past. They have a huge choice of ice-cream flavours posted on the wall (maybe 40-ish). Behind the counter they have a laminated description of each flavour... so if you're not sure what the flavours are, maybe ask for the laminated sheet, and you can read it while you're waiting in line. By the time you get to the front of the line, there's not much chance to read it because there's a line of people behind you and only one person taking the money. There is not much near-by, but it was busy - there was a line up with crowd control metal fences as you wait!! The wait was only a few minutes. There are 3 sizes - baby, small and large. The cups and cones are the same price, but I think you get way more in a cup!! I got a small cup (I think it cost a bit over $4) and it was huge! Baby was a bit over $3. Me and my husband both got the same flavour, after we bought it we went in the store, and we could have bought a 1.5L tub for $6... so if you all want the same flavour and want to spend less money and have more ice-cream - you can always pop into the store! ;) (they didn't have all the flavours in the store though) We went for black raspberry thunder - white choc ice cream with white choc pieces in and raspberry flavour. There was mini golf and a chip van in the parking lot area also.
