The Fishin' Pig - Farmville

Our server was great and it's a fun place. I got the fish basket with the seasoned, broiled fish. The fish was not seasoned with anything and was VERY overcooked. It was rubbery and was probably left under a heat lamp way too long. My husband's burger was tasty but also over cooked. Outer lunch took about 35 minutes to reach our table.

I've been to the fishin pig In Norfolk more than once this was my first time going to the one in Farmville from what I understand this is where they originated Seating was quick service was great food was amazing.

We did not like the food at all. We ordered catfish with collards. I do not recommend.

Nice place but the food is horrible if you have had actual properly smoked bbq. Brisket is gray and everything fried like the chicken toes or fried tomatoes is soaked in oil with a flour chalky batter like they don’t keep the temp high enough. Hush puppies are grainy, Cole slaw is very middle of the road. The tea is very bland. The service was ok but the girl who was being trained had no friendliness at all. We weren’t offered dessert and the check was dropped like we were being rushed out like the server had her shift ending soon.
