You'll feel right at home here! This BBQ and soul food restaurant boasts enthusiastic staff and a welcoming atmosphere. The food is crafted with care using fresh ingredients, resulting in fantastic flavors! There are plenty of menu options to choose from. While there might be a bit of a wait for the food, it’s definitely worth it for the homemade goodness! I highly recommend it!

Starting with the chicken plate, I had smoked chicken coated in BBQ sauce. The chicken was JUICY, even the breast! Not only was the meat tender, but it was also packed with flavor. The cornbread was sweet, moist, and less grainy than typical cornbread—definitely not dry like some other places serve. The baked beans were a bit different from what I'm used to; they were "loaded" with peppers and ground beef, which made them extremely sweet, so I didn’t enjoy them as much. The mac and cheese was pretty good too; you could taste the different cheeses, and it had the perfect balance of sauce to noodles. Now, for my favorite part: the ribs! Both the pork and beef ribs were fantastic. The meat was so tender and delicious that it was gone within minutes, and I was definitely left wanting more. I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch by yourself or dinner with family—you'll surely be satisfied with your meal!

From the moment my wife and I walked in, we were greeted by the delightful aroma that every barbecue restaurant should have. We both ordered the pork sandwich, and the portions were impressively generous. The pork had an incredible bark and a beautiful smoke ring, and the flavor was outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised by the coleslaw; it had a unique taste, possibly the best I've ever tried, which I believe included pineapple. It complemented the Hawaiian bun perfectly. The staff and the owner were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

The ribs were so tender they fell right off the bone, the macaroni and cheese was both cheesy and creamy, and the cornbread had a cake-like texture that left me wanting more. The beans were so good that they almost made me want to playfully tease my husband (lol), and the BBQ sauce was just to die for! EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! My only regret is not discovering this spot earlier, especially since we are no longer residents of the state. We need to grab a plate for the road before we leave. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and will definitely stop by whenever we're back in town. Chef Mike, my husband has been looking for a specific BBQ flavor for months and couldn’t find it until he tasted your food. You gave him exactly what he’s been craving! My first issue was with the menu descriptions. I ordered the rib plate, which is supposed to come with a one-third rack of ribs and two sides. It also mentioned that for an additional 50%, I could get a full rack of ribs. I opted for the full rack, thinking it would be the remaining two-thirds of the one-third rack. Instead, I received just two pieces of ribs, each the same size. So either I got two-thirds of what I ordered or there is a mistake on the menu. The second issue was that my Nachos with a twist never arrived. Despite the delivery driver from GrubHub calling to ask me what type of meat I wanted on my nachos, they never made it to me, and that was the main dish I was eager to try. As for the food I did receive: the nachos? Nonexistent. The ribs are still sitting in my fridge. I did manage to pry a bone off to check for tenderness, and it was a bit dry with the BBQ sauce simply poured over the ribs rather than basted on. The mac and cheese was mediocre; I’ve definitely had better. The baked beans, cooked with ground beef and sweet, were standard but tasty. I acknowledge that my experience could have been better. I expect Sweet Smokee'z BBQ will respond with an apology and invite me to try them again, but there are countless other restaurants, including many BBQ places, competing for my business. The GrubHub driver also played a part in this issue; they should have double-checked the order before leaving the restaurant. With contactless delivery, by the time I checked my order, the driver was already gone and the restaurant was closed. In total, I spent $60 between the food and delivery. That’s three hours of work for what I hoped would be a 20-minute meal on my birthday. Unfortunately, Sweet Smokee'z BBQ, my birthday experience was a letdown.
