The Country Cafe - Festus

I definitely go back. Loves the native Pommes, the sampler has a lot of variety. The bacon is not the best, but the service was good and everything else was great.

After an auction in DeSoto. Didn't even know the place existed. They brought delicious dinners with apple butter. We had the land fried steak. We had a small one that was a pretty good size. Can't imagine how the big part was. The staff was excellent. You have full cake or through the pane with several choices. They also have daily specialties. Big little diner. We really enjoyed it. Stop if you have a chance.

Service was great, good was good and fast. Overall the ambience was sub par. Lighting was several shades and the ceiling tiles could really be replaced in some areas to make it look clean. Otherwise I liked the retro look of the tables, dessert cabinet and old oven at the front.

My wife and I found this Cafe at random. We were looking for a place for breakfast and noticed this gem just off the highway. Turned around and checked it out. Establishment is very clean and smells like fresh coffee. Menu is simple but with variety. Service was excellent!! The food was delicious and servings were generous.. we definitely will be going back! Actually looking forward to another breakfast and their lunch/dinner options look good! Strongly recommend
