Avaliação da contribuiçãoI must say they serve, as my Scottish granny used to say, a million dollar baked potato with all the fixings. I had a surprisingly tender bison steak with a side of baked beans and broccoli. I am so full I think I will just have pie and coffee for dinner tonight
They had ribs on special so of course that's what I had. The food was excellent but service was slow. There were only 4 tables occupied so I would hate to see it when it busy. Other than that The severs were pleasant to deal with. For my meal the price was normal. I found the setting too dark, tables had lights over them which made it good for seeing your food but if something was on the floor you may trip on it was you walk. Very convenient to those staying in the hotel.
Had dinner here twice. The pickerel is great and cooked well. Friends had the Hog Heaven. It was A LOT if pork. If you like the pickerel head to The Big Dipper downtown and pick buy some local pickerel for home. She also sells batter.
You are in a small northern town, so don't come expecting a Toronto gourmet restaurant and you will be fine. I live in the area and I always order just the one thing whenever I eat at the Vic Inn (Kelsey Trail DR). The steak sandwich is on their lunch menu which you can ask for at any time. The quality of the cut is a little hit and miss but they cook it to your specifications and have never missed with me. I prefer eating in the lounge over the dining room. That may be a guy thing. The Moosehead is ice cold, the tvs are plentiful, and the service is friendly. Last time there, my wife was not happy with her fish and chips and said her fish was over cooked. To which I just thought (being too old wise to say it out loud), why wouldn't you order the steak sandwich?
Saturday was my birthday, so I decided that I wanted to celebrate it by going to La Conner.
