Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe stopped in for lunch on Fogo Island. The restaurant was clean, the staff was very friendly, and there was a nice view out the back. Some items on the menu were not available. We tried the fish and chips, which were decent in both cost and taste. There aren't many dining options on the island, so it's worth considering.
Once we entered the restaurant, we waited at the front desk for 5 minutes trying to figure out if we should be seated. When no one came out, we decided to take a seat ourselves. One of the staff members was sitting at another table but did not get up to inform the server that we were waiting. We waited almost ten minutes before anyone even acknowledged our presence. Finally, someone came out, dropped menus on the table, and walked away without asking how we were or if we wanted any drinks. Eventually, we decided to leave without being served.
On Saturday evening, we saw the sign in the window and decided to have breakfast at Mudder's on Sunday when they opened at 8AM. However, when we arrived at Mudder's at 8AM on Sunday morning, there was no activity. After waiting for a while, we eventually gave up. It seems that Chester's is the only restaurant open for breakfast on Sundays.
Great food, generous helping and reasonably priced. Dining room clean and well decorated. Small menu however all style food. Would certainly return .
We had a good Philly Cheesteak sandwich and fries for a main course and shared a deep fried Caramilk Bar covered in puff pastry for dessert. Yum!
