Avaliação da contribuiçãoCafe de la Halle is a bar located in the center of Foix, a town with a very known castle located in the South of France. I came here, when we returned to our house in Manresa. We stopped here and relax, rest and drink something in the bar. Also, from here you can see very nice views of the castle. Pitifully, we came here at evening, and it was not possible to eat something in the bar, becuase the kitchen was closed. Ok, good rest to continue our travel.
We were cycling and stopped here for a light lunch. As it was past 2pm we were told we could only chose a salad or the meal of the day which was half duck with chips and side salad with a sauce for 15.50. We asked for 1 duck to share and the dressing on the side. The order was taken but the owner came bustling out saying in no uncertain terms that we could not share a meal. We had to chose two meals or nothing! Her attitude was very rude. We chose a salad too as a consequence. The food was ok but the duck portion was quite small. We will not return!
Just waited and waited for our food to arrive and after about an hour we gave up and just paid for the drinks we had consumed waiter apologised but not really bothered. Will not be going back !
We stopped by for a small glass of red wine and orange juice. The waiter charged us 14 Euros, and when we queried this after we had paid the bill gave us 10 Euros without us asking for it and made out it was a mistake. We will not be returning, as clearly what he was trying to trying to skim the bill.
