It is a very nice coffeehouse in the lobby of a residency. They have about 6 tables for 2 and 2 bigger one.The coffee is strong and tasteful. Not sweet but you can put syrup in it for 1 dollar. All milks except of cow milk is 1 dollar.Kind of expensive.Paid 25 dollar for a banana bread and a sweet dish with 2 small coffee. They take 18% tip without asking and providing service to the table.
These baristas have such a laid back job with a slightly higher minimum wage, they don’t really do any outstanding service… but ya let’s pay them 18% gratuity for such efforts. coffee is expensive too for a tiny cup. been living in miami for years and now im beginning to realize how ridiculous that prices have jumped for such tiny things. other places along with this one really need to re-consider their prices matching the value/service
Too expensive ! The coffee was good but overpriced. 18% gratuity is atomic. I don't agree with that because what if service sucked. It didn't but still
The quality of the coffee here is truly exceptional, and it's the sort of place I'd love to frequent more often. However, there's one aspect that I find rather challenging the automatic addition of an 18% gratuity to the bill. I'm generally someone who tips well, but the concept of an enforced tip for a barista, who typically earns an hourly wage, seems a tad misplaced. While I understand the intention behind the gratuity could be to ensure fair compensation for the staff, perhaps a more practical solution would be to incorporate these costs into the prices of the products directly. That way, your employees would receive a higher wage without adding an unexpected charge for the customer.
