The Brambletye, Bar 221 Restaurant, Great Service, Great Food

My friends stayed at this restaurant for a night in November and they absolutely loved it. While I haven't stayed at the hotel myself, I do enjoy the live music they have every Saturday night. The pub has a fantastic atmosphere and all the staff are very friendly. Arnold and Callum were amazing! The Sunday roast was delicious, with generous portions and made with love. The rooms are in desperate need of maintenance and are quite run-down. However, the bed is clean and comfortable. I would not choose to stay at this hotel again. The rooms are rated 1 out of 5, the location is a 3 out of 5, but the highlight of the hotel is the great view.

The smell in our room was unbearable, as if there was a decaying animal somewhere. The room, service, and location all received a low rating of 1.

My wife fell in the bath after having a shower injuring her arm which became trapped between the taps and the bath. She was subsequently unable to get from the bath on her own. The resulting bruise to her arm causing great distress, and and embarrassment. In spite of writing to the owner, who has deemed it unnecessary to reply, which gives an indication of the customer care at this hotel. All for the sake of an antislip bath mat.
