Just Jacks - Fort St. John

I was called to Fort St-John for a few days of work, so I stopped at Just Jacks for dinner. It was a really good experience that included a great, relaxed atmosphere, excellent service and amazing food! To start I had a carrot soup which was what they called Soup of the Moment . It sounded different so I decided to give it a shot, and I 'm really glad I did! Quite frankly, it was more like a bisque, and the flavours were fantastic! For my main I had the Scallop Prawns Jambalaya. I 'm always a little hesitant to order anything with seafood from a restaurant that I haven 't been to before, but this time it was an excellent choice. Both the scallops and prawns tasted very fresh and the 'spicyness ' and the flavours of the meal was well balanced, so just a little 'bite ' but not HOT. Just perfect! As it looks like I 'll be here for another couple days? I will definitely be back!

I don't know what's up with the bad reviews, but this place crushed it. They gave me a dirty glass with my wine, but replaced and comped it quickly with no questions asked. Waiter was awesome, and the filet mignon was ON POINT. Definitely coming back here.

Customer service is extremely slow. Came in for breakfast and the server looked irritated that we were introducing her down time . Actually said she was up since 5 and was tired. I am patient but seriously took forever just to get tea. Won 't be back (maybe she was just a bad server)

Just finished driving 6 hours and didn't feel like driving anymore. Since I was staying at the hotel, figured I would eat at the restaurant. Sat down and wasn't busy at all, when we were about to leave, the waitress asked us what wanted to drink. Drinks took a while and we were about to leave when the waitress asked us what we would like. I Ordered fish and chips and my mom ordered the steak sandwich. Food took over an hour and when the food was brought to our table. It wasn't worth the wait. Steak was cut up into bite sizes (never saw a steak sandwich like that before) for me the fish batter was so greasy and the only thing that I ate was the fries.

Awe, how sad. The girls are great there but WTF wing night went from Saturday to Wednesday and the price increased to 20.00 a pound. The owner should be ashamed, no wings are worth that and as a regular who's been going faithfully for years for wing night first Friday then Saturday, from good wings to bad then back to good, unfortunately with the increase of price to the wings and drinks I'm sorry to say I won't return. Big mistake my friend, as we alone spend hundreds of dollars every Saturday night. Really disappointing
