Fixe Southern House - Fort Worth

Fixe opened about eight weeks ago, and I couldn’t be happier. The ambiance is perfect—opulent yet understatedly Southern. The décor is really nice, and the chairs are so plush that you can barely move them (think leather high backs like in a cigar lounge). Now, let’s talk about the food… wow. I’d go as far as to say I’d slap someone for one of their scratch-made biscuits. They serve homemade butter and an in-house small-batch hot sauce. Seriously, it’s incredible!

We had a wonderful experience last night. The restaurant is gorgeous. We started with the fantastic biscuits served with delicious butter and honey. For our appetizers, we enjoyed the fried catfish and deviled eggs. Our group ordered the lobster crayfish pot pie, fried chicken, and halibut, and everyone was really pleased with their choices—no complaints at all! The desserts were fantastic as well. We also appreciated the warm towels provided to freshen up after the meal.

Fixe is a fantastic spot for happy hour, featuring amazing $8 appetizers and enticing drink specials. We enjoyed deviled eggs, blue crab fingers, and southern-style fish and fries. The French fries were, without a doubt, the best I've ever tasted, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn from the owner, Keith, that they’re not overloaded with sodium. I ordered iced tea, and they brought out a unique coffee pot-like device that sat atop a carafe, dispensing a generous 22 ounces of fresh-brewed tea—such a cool presentation! Our waitress didn’t introduce herself, which I never quite understand, but she provided excellent service. The general manager, Mike, even stopped by to answer our questions about private group dinners. I have no doubt that this restaurant will thrive in the Clear Fork area, outperforming its competitors.

Excellent atmosphere, friendly staff, competent and professional management, delicious fare (biscuits are insane), fantastic cocktails/wine list and one of the best happy hours in Fort Worth. I guess you could say I like the place. Thanks to the great Mike and Keith et al, keep up the good work.

Hands down one of the best dining experiences in Fort Worth. The barstools are perfect for any size person, the most comfortable O have been having dinner at the bar. Have to give a shout out to Julienne the bar tender a definite foodie!! The food was fab and unique, great overall!!
