Reata - Fort Worth

Staff was extremely helpful and nice. The rooftop bar, at Sunset, is truly amazing. Ambience  and service are impeccable.

For well over a decade, we have considered Reata to be one of the top restaurants in the DFW area and have recommended it to many friends. While we live in Dallas, we have repeatedly taken visitors and guests for special events to Reata. However, Monday evening December 17, has totally changed that. We were very embarrassed by the service and the quality of the food. It was one error after another, topped off by a server more interested in being loud and cute than in giving quality service. He alone made the evening bad. Another irritate was that despite making a reservation significantly in advance, the hostess seated us at a table directly beside the entry to the kitchen, thus making it a never ending flow of servers. One of our guests was repeatedly bumped by rushing servers; a problem that I as the host remedied by switching seats. The table location issue was not necessary as the restaurant was only about 50% occupied at that hour. Overall, the evening was a total embarrassment to us as the hosts. It was an error that we will not repeat again. There are enough other quality dining options in Dallas and Fort Worth.

The food, service and wine were all exceptional...we really enjoyed our experience!

Always wonderful food and service! You'll especially want to try their chocolate bread pudding!
