I've been coming to John Harvard for years, though not consistent. We went on Saturday with a big group and were able to get the whole back...
I went there last night and had the absolute best server, Nicole. The food and beer were amazing too! It's rare these days to find both excellent service and great food at the same time, lol. Make sure to ask for Nicole!
After a bike tour on the Minuteman Cycle, John Harvard Brewery and Restaurant was the perfect spot for lunch to recharge us for our ride back to Bedford.
Next, we tried the buffalo chicken wings served with blue cheese. They were crispy yet juicy, and the sauce had such depth of flavor and the ideal level of heat that I nearly licked the plate clean! Although we weren't very hungry after that, the food was so incredible that we just had to order more. We then enjoyed clam chowder, which was at the perfect temperature—not too thick or too thin—and packed with flavor. It was the best clam chowder I've ever had, and I grew up in clam country in Essex, MA! My partner brought his own beer and thoroughly enjoyed it (he tried several varieties, all of which were excellent). I opted for a few 10% stouts that were surprisingly smooth and not overpoweringly boozy. We live 40 minutes away, and I can’t wait to go back—I'm already eager to return tomorrow! It was truly amazing.
