Fisch Franke - Frankfurt am Main

AVOID like the PLAGUE!!! There are many companies in Frankfurt that earn your business, this place is not $Maybe the worst service and the most friendly waiting staff in Frankfurt. Maybe it's because I'm an American under a place full of Germans. Maybe... because my German is not entirely on the way, but these waiters went out their way to be unfriendly to me. I speak German enough to get past most restaurants, but I can say they didn't want me here. Why? They were sitting in front of me. Once sitting, I only waited for a menu for 15 minutes. The couple that sits in front of me for two minutes already enjoys their wine, I have to see my waiter. When I asked for a menu in German, I was told that “he was very busy and would reach me as soon as possible”. That was 10 minutes ago. The mentioned couple at the next table already eats their salad. Why am I still sitting here? Prove a point. I want to go as soon as my waiter shows his face. If you like to be treated like ****, eat here with all means, the food looks fabulous and since I went without food, I really can't evaluate the food, but the attitude and disgusting treatment is regrettable. My advice: STAY AWAY!!!!

This is a well established fish restaurant in the centre of Frankfurt, near the cathedral and also the small market hall. Expect a typical North German fish menu, so don't expect fancy French sauces or Mediterranean grill style. They have a bit of everything, but herring,... plaice, cod, salmon, etc. dominate the menu, and are prepared in German (but also broken, fried). Fish is fresh, portions are good, with side salads and steamed potatoes. Local German white wines from the glass, from the vineyards of the city of Frankfurt (a little overpriced). You also have an informal section where you can enjoy a good fish sandwich. I really recommend the place if you like fish. I also noticed groups of Asian bankers from nearby town usually a good sign in view of the high standards of fish in Asia.

We enjoyed a very good and generous meal today. There were many kinds of fish and his preparation... and all very fresh. The service was good, also with our somewhat prestige German...help through a bilingual menu.

Nette Ambiente, schöne Auswahl in der Karte, sowohl aus Süsswasser wie Meer. Dazu leckeren Weine aus dem Reihmgau.

Acogedor restaurante en el centro de Frankfurt con un trato excelente y buenas sugerencias por parte del servicio. Buen pescado!
