Rey Azteca Fredericksburg

I love exploring new restaurants, and I'm so glad we discovered this gem! My husband and I had a fantastic experience at Rey Azteca. The menu offers a wide variety of options, the prices are reasonable, and the food was incredibly delicious. The drinks were also excellent, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. This might just become our new favorite Mexican restaurant!

Overall, this is a lovely Mexican restaurant with generous portion sizes. However, I do prefer freshly made guacamole, and the guacamole served to us tonight tasted like it was from a jar rather than prepared on-site with fresh ingredients like cilantro, green pepper, ripe avocado, and lime juice. Aside from that letdown, I enjoyed my cream chicken, which was delicious. I really hope this restaurant will start making fresh guacamole, as customers would surely appreciate the difference!

This restaurant has the best Mexican food in the area. We were on the way to another destination when we decided to stop in, and I’m so glad we did! The food was excellent, the service was exceptional, and the portions were more than enough to share between two people. The chips, salsa, and guacamole were delicious! Surprisingly, there weren't too many people there, so we didn't have to wait for a table. There's plenty of parking, and it's conveniently located on Route 1, right across from the University of Mary Washington. We will definitely be back!

Rey Azteca offers some excellent Mexican food, which is hard to come by in Fredericksburg. I really enjoy the atmosphere at this location!

My friends and I adore this place! The staff is consistently very friendly, and while the food may not be the most authentic, it's incredibly delicious. I highly recommend it!
