Tonight, on my way to home from a neat business trip, I have ordered from restaurant lychee via lieferando so that the food is delivered when I came to home. I received a call from the restaurant and said that my partner has a life-threatening seafood allergy, they were not willing to take the risk! I have told them that it should not be a problem if they store the duck separated from seafood in their cold storage (what all restaurants have to do! use fresh oil and clean pan and utensils! he said they can't do it. frustrated I went to the restaurant personally to talk to them and hopefully find a solution. the chef refused to take the risk. the other employee said they could use clean oil, but they still didn't want to take the risk. I asked why it would be a risk if they were using clean oil. we were also flexible to accept an alternative court, but they were not willing to do something! He then said that they could prepare for us, but I would have to take responsibility!? what is this restaurant to say? they do not take responsibility or care, and I take the risk that my partner does not breathe!? if the restaurant was busy, I could expect that the treatment of special requests can be difficult, but the restaurant was empty apart from some customers! I left the restaurant extremely angry. then he called me to ask me not to write a negative review and offer us a few free drinks instead! Personally, I think it is better that customers are aware of how this restaurant treats its customers – and especially important for allergies! when a restaurant care about the handling of allergies, it only tells me that they don't have a note what they do, and are not professional enough! my last experience from there ordered via lieferando, it took more than two hours to deliver the food! However, they offered two free beers as an excuse. I will never order from there again, and would advise others to do the same – especially with allergies!
