Avaliação da contribuiçãoFriendly service and good food. There was a couple of odd dishes and avoid the cold lentil starter, otherwise the food was very good. The Restaurant is next to a lake/pond and it was a hot night when we were there. The doors have to be closed I suspect to stop bugs coming in from the water and this made it very hot. This may have just been a one off problem.
January is not the best month to visit the area as many places are closed, but La Table Tartine is not a disappointment. We lunched here first, and enjoyed it. So we booked dinner for six, later in our visit. LTT is quite cosy as there are separate areas that disguise its size. For lunch, we ordered off the menu as no-one wanted several courses. Just let me say: there is a reason the restaurant has a picture of steak tartare on its home page at the moment. Avec frites, délicieux! At dinner four of us chose the set menu, €23.50 for two courses. The choice was steak, which was flavourful, but a little chewy. There was not a murmur when two people asked for their steaks to be cooked some more—medium doesn't mean the same thing in France. With desserts and three bottles of wine, the bill was less than €40 per head.Service was efficient and friendly with some staff speaking English if you are linguistically challenged.
Staying on the east side of Lesparre restaurants are few and far between in this area I have found. The visitor book in the place we stayed had a good few reviews so we decided to give it a try despite the reviews on this site about service, a pet hate of mine. The foie gras as a started we shared between the two of us, plenty to go around.I had a the veil which I found a bit fatty but well cooked. There was a kids menu which served the usual chicken nuggets affair but save room for the puddings, they are yummy. Peculiar to me, as a Brit, but there were a few patrons who brought in small dogs and who were provided with a water bowl under the table so that seems a plus if you have one in tow
We really enjoyed our meal here. We had a 3 course meal from the set menu and thought the price was great for the food that we had and the quality of the food that we had was amazing too! We had very good service and waiters/ hostess was always on hand and the hostess was very welcoming and friendly when we spoke to her. It is in a lovely location by a pond when we sat outside so was very picturesque . Would definitely visit again!
This is a homey place with good food reasonably priced. It seemed as if most of the guests were local but we were treated well. There is a pretty garden outside.
