East End Eatery - Gainesville

Vegan I have found it hard to order food at local brunch / dining room. east end eatery always has a great menu for vegan food and vegan specialties to keep the dinge interesting. service has always gone beyond and beyond to make sure that my friend and I are satisfied

We love to take our family here as they have great vegan options for me, vegetarian for my man and my parents are carnivores. also, a children's playground near the table to keep my children happy while we eat. Sunday brunch is our favorite. tempeh scrambble is a! I also wanted to comment on the service as someone said it was bad. I have often eaten here and never had a bad experience with service. it is a small family owned and operated business and everyone was always super knowing.

No one knew the menu, calculated us different prices for everything, gave us the wrong menus and then became crazy when we wanted what we ordered when they did not tell us after our order and had been an hour there that we had wrong menus. told us, ice cream had free refills, so I ordered it and then when I told me there was no free refills. the woman accused me of the wrong amount at the end of the meal. the waitress told us that she was “new” after she had all messed up, and that’s good and dirty, but if they give false menus and don’t know if refills are included, then find out or his shadowing another server. the woman who accused me at the end told other people about my table that she should have “take the second weapon back” because the restaurant has messed up the order/ gave us the wrong menus. honestly after the hour, eating was good and I might have eaten the little part if the service was not so terrible.

My boyfriend (meat eater) and I (vegan) ate there the other day on a whim and man was it worth it. They had both meat and vegan options. You can make some regular dishes vegan as well so I had a lot of options which I usually don't when we eat out together. I got huevos rancheros but made it vegan and he got a pork sandwich. We were both very pleased. It was delicious, made quickly, and the bill was super cheap. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Them and the atmosphere made it feel like I was eating at home which is always nice. Cool looking place can't wait to go back!
