They have a small kitchen, so we went in knowing it may take a little bit for our food. The balsamic brie was a lovely savory app, and the croque madame tasted wonderful. They did forget the egg on the croque, but were quick to bring some out BEFORE we mentioned it was missing. Service: Dine in
Our favorite restaurant in Gainesville! We meet friends here after work at least once a month for detox. Their wine list and curated cocktails are just perfect for casual French cafe. Escargot and Brie to start. There are usually 3 choices for quiche. We each have a different favorite. My wife loves the Salade du Chef which has sauteed mushrooms and potatoes, a pleasant hint of herbes de provence, and a seven minute egg. I am usually having quiche Lorraine or a croque monsieur. Like gin? Try a French Blonde or a French gin and tonic. By the time we get to dessert we are convinced we just stumbled into a cafe in NY or Paris. Yesterday we tried a creme brulee with lemon and ginger and a vegan pot de creme. We love Alpin! Parking: Parking garage directly across from the restaurant.
This place is so delicious it is honest obscene. there are incredible care in every component of their culinary experience, from the wine pairings to the teig itself. very recommended venting to taste their daily specialties, the special tart and dessert were over delicious! super friendly service and a welcoming terrace for eating outdoors. each dish was clear homemade in the best wise, with love to detail in every layered taste. until after the bite is alpin absolutely amazing.
I love everything about this place. one of only a few restaurants with high quality and well sorted ingredients. best Saturday brunch!
Eating was excellent, the ambiente was delightful, and the classic guitar arrangements and performance were unexpected and wonderful. Wednesday night here was a real tasty bite. I'm usually not very excited about quiche, but I would only return for the quiche, even if everything else wasn't as excellent as it was. the amount and texture of the crust was perfect. the crust was thin, crunchy and added a hauch of sharpness that let me clean my plate. the jura braut was a shady and the Maeloc-catcher was an unexpectedly refreshing hard zider with a funny floral finish. I can't expect to return to the crepes!
