Avaliação da contribuiçãoPepper’s, a family-owned Mexican restaurant in Gainesville, Florida, is conveniently located just west of I-75 on Newberry Road. I tried the steak fajitas from their "Express Lunch" menu, available until 3 PM. The menu features a wide range of authentic Mexican dishes, with prices ranging from $5.99 to $9.99, including options like chimichangas, burrito supremos, and pollo bandido, all served in generous portions. The vibrant Mexican ambiance and music, combined with attentive waitstaff, create a truly enjoyable dining experience.
We had a fantastic lunch today. Our server, Daniel, was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended some amazing dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely be coming back!
It's my first time visiting this restaurant, and I came here for my birthday dinner! It was definitely worth it. The customer service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious! I'm seriously considering going back for lunch tomorrow, no joke! By the way, I ordered the chimichanga, which came with either black beans or rice. The drink I chose was similar to fruit punch. My friends recommended the Magritta, saying it was really good, although quite strong!
I was looking for a unique spot for our date night and came across Peppers. Since I love Latin food, I thought it would be a great choice. Unfortunately, as soon as I walked in, I had to raise my voice to get the hostess's attention, and even then, it was hard to hear each other. After giving her my name, we were seated about 15 minutes later, and immediately received chips and salsa. This made me suspect they weren't fresh, and I was right. It was frustrating, especially since the place was packed, and making fresh chips and salsa shouldn't be a challenge. The chips weren't crispy at all, which was disappointing. We also got our food really quickly, which raised more red flags for me, and unfortunately, I was correct in thinking that wasn't a good sign either. While the restaurant had all the elements that could make a great Mexican dining experience, it felt just too much like a chain. Overall, I was quite disappointed and won't be returning. I’ll continue my search for a truly authentic Mexican restaurant in the area.
The tamales were so good. I love the ratio of meat inside. The margaritas were on point and affordable. Lots of different flavors frozen or on ice. I went on a Saturday night and it was karaoke and and music and people was a great vibe. Service was great and fast. I will return. And the street corn was hot and fresh. So tasty. A must try.
