I do not recommend this place, we had to wait a lot for the menu, for eating, we ordered two burgers we got one, the meat didn't look like in the house prepared more like bought patties, the waiters were totally unorganized, it was a...big chaos.
Visit with my husband and loved it. After a long day of skiing is was the perfect spot. Staff was friendly and spoke English. It’s a whisky bar as well, although we did not partake. Ordered bbq burger (add bacon) which came with garlic mayo...and sautéed onions I believe which was to die for, best burger I’ve had in Germany in months. Chips and salsa were good too fresh hot out of the oven with some extra spice. Husband ordered jalapeños burger with size salad which was huge and also good. Steak fries were ok, I probably should have gone for the wedges! It’s def pub atmosphere so it’s pretty dark and rustic, not a small place so might want to call ahead or get there early if it’s a weekend. Two burgers one with fries, one with side salad , a fizzy water, glass of wine, chips and salsa totaled around euro. We will be back.
For years, the local cure was our home away from home. I mean literally years. It must have been or more seasons that we stayed in the apartment above the restaurant during our family ski vacation. The local cure truly has a place in...our heart, and a place in the family album. There are many good things to say about the environment, the food, and the music. Authentic american style burgers, and fine german beers. served up in a warm friendly pub. With occasional bands, and other festivities to go a long with it. The people passing through are as friendly as the staff, and everyone makes you feel welcome, no matter what time of day the bar is open. And even sometimes in off hours. I miss it there, and hope to one day again come through.
German food is great, but when you want some nachos, pizza, or a good burger, hit up the Local Cure.
First and foremost, the staff and service were impeccable. I really enjoyed my Bavarian Burger, and the homemade mayo as a dipping side was an excellent touch! This is actually my second time here. The first time was in the peak of Ski season, and...it was so packed I couldn’t get a seat as a solo patron. This time it was with a buddy and after ski season, so it was still busy but my friend and I found a seat at the bar. They have a great selection of whiskeys: Irish, Scotch, and American bourbon. They have a somewhat limited menu with appetizers, pizzas and burgers; however, I wouldn’t expect a full menu at an Irish pub, so this was not really a detriment. My friend ordered the special: the Garlic burger and echoed the sentiment from another reviewer that it was the best burger in Germany that he’s had. I will go further to say it’s one of the burgers I’ve had anywhere: large in size with cheddar (or Gouda), a hunk of ham, bacon, lettuce, onion, and tomato. This is a place I’d definitely recommend for getting a drink with a few friends or a bite to eat. I echo the other views that this isn’t really place for large gathering or bringing kids. Not that it’s family unfriendly (there was a dog there when I went), but it’s pretty space-limited. Overall, this is an excellent place, the service was amazing, staff was friendly, and the owner even came and chatted with us. I will be going back!
