Avaliação da contribuição3.0 star rating 10/14/2015 This pleasant little dairy bar is a quick stop of the AA Highway in Kentucky. You will have to be looking for it because there are no signs from the interstate. Once you're there parking is somewhat limited and most likely packed on nights when there are local sporting events. We caught this location at the beginning of October, the week before they close for the winter, during the work week so parking wasn't an issue for our visit. Once inside, we were greeted with a vintage throw-back with a local flavor. the walls were adorned with photos of former prom queens, athletes, car shows, and metal automobile niche signs. The serving counter was even a profile of a vintage car! The seating was both table and booth with plenty of each available; the seating area was broken into two spaces so if you wanted a private party area, though small, it could be done. The dining area was immaculately clean although there were no employees (thankfully! cleaning the dining area while we ate. The bathrooms were spotless as well. The owner must have a great grasp of this commonly overlooked part of restaurant hygiene. The food. The food was typical American Burger fare. The 8 oz beef burger wasn't too greasy or too dry. It was cooked to a medium well, and appears to have been made in the shop as it did not have that chemical after-taste often associated with restaurants that order their's pre-made from companies iike Sysco. The fries were crisp, and on the larger side, but not quite homefries. My partner ordered the foot-long Coney hot dog, and found it amazing and far superior to a locally renowned hot dog stand on the opposite side of the river. The sauce was sweeter with a ketchup base and the onions not bitter or overpowering. The service was average and typical to what you would find at a dairy bar. The most impressing aspect of our visit was the quality of food, the cleanliness of the location and the price point of the food (see photos. It is my recommendation that if you're travels take you along the AA Highway in north eastern Kentucky during the summer that you take a break and enjoy a quality burger at this location.
