Controcorrente - GELA

Local restaurant which doesn't serve food until 8.30, but what amazing food. Ate in lots of places in sicily and this was by far the best food. The Tuna and Swordfish were the best I have EVER eaten. I realise this review seems over the top but the food was just so good. It is impossible to eat and antipasto, pasta and fish course, recommend sharing antipasto. Can't praise highly enough. We speak no italian but the staff tried very hard to make sure we all understood each other.

We ate here several times for lunch on the beach. Great fresh fish and fresh watermelon for dessert. Perfect for beach lunch!

Had a pleasant dinner with local fish dishes. All good and well presented. House wine ok, service ok, easy to park.

Beautiful single room immerses the bathrooms outside....if it rains or there wind. Patience...but it's worth it.

I want to give frost stars a beautiful city on the sea and know above all I would say I went away with frost in the heart
