Avaliação da contribuiçãoLocated at 30 Macquarie Street, the former 'Miriums on Macquarie' has been sold as of February 8th, 2018. The new owners have rebranded the restaurant as 'Cafe 1069' and have created a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. This fully licensed cafe serves delicious locally made coffee, all-day breakfast, burgers, and pizza. Guests can enjoy great music while choosing from healthy gluten-free, vegan, and dairy-free options. In addition to raw slices, cold-pressed juice, and more. If you are in George Town, visiting Cafe 1069 is a must!
The staff at this restaurant were friendly when we placed our order, and the food was exceptional, making it worth the slightly higher prices.
Pizza is our thing...we try wherever we go and Miriam makes the BEST we have found in Tasmania! The brightly coloured shop is nothing special from the street, but inside is neat and clean, smells amazing and then of course, there is Miriam! We had a lovely chat while she rolled dough and made pizza for existing orders as well as ours....all by hand, all fresh. The ingredients all visible, all look fresh and of high quality. Generous is the word, kind of like you make at home, with good cheese, stringy and melty perfection. Toppings all balanced so the finish is mouth watering. The crust was crunchy and browned on the bottom and filled to the edge, no big chunky crust. Seriously worth a visit, I think she delivers sometimes. Closed on Monday and Tuesday.
Nice selection of pizzas baked by Miriam herself. Miriam has an attitude which becomes an attraction in itself if you visit more frequently. We have ordered pizza on two occasions and we were not disappointed. It's certainly better than the average pizza in larger cities.
And Miriam is right.Actually the pizzas are reasonably priced and a good variety. Nice big fresh salad with lots of ingredients.Nice crisp fine base.Miriam admits she is a grump but seeing how hard she works and the number of takeaways the place could be a little gold mine.Small amount of alcohol but a no frills dining experience. You get what you would expect from a very regional pizza shop.
