La Pergola - Gesualdo

I have been here with some friends and relatives, 8 in total and preferred asking Antonio (the perfect host) to surprise us with a full course menu... The food was amazing for me having also my family roots here, even more of an emotional journey and it was amazing to see the tradition and local ingredients (an example is the celery that has a very long tradition and is produced in the area) merged to exquisite dishes. The prices are more than reasonable (especially compared with restaurants in germany or actually most of the countries in Europe) and I will for sure come back anytime I can. Enjoy!

We arrived for lunch and were treated to a fabulous meal culminating in one of the best deserts I have had in any restaurant in many years. Then they brought out some other deserts and home made cantucci to try on the house. Marvellous!

I 've been many times to Gesualdo (I 'm italian living in London and I like to travel around my country discovering new and hidden restaurants), and I can say I 'll be back anytime I can. La Pergola is a great place for all the real food and real tastes lovers. Proper Italian cuisine made with experience, great products knowledge, and love. And the added value is given by the owners... fantastic people! We became friends since the first time we met. If you go there You 'll feel like home!

It is always a pleasure to come back here, both for the excellent dishes all at zero kilometers and for the reception of the owners antonio and franca that are two really formidable people.

In the heart of Irpinia, a great stop for those who want a good lunch based on genuine products. excellent service attentive and very friendly, I feel strongly to recommend it
