Sushi Omakase - Gilroy

Great family place to dine. Nice atmosphere. Courteous staff. First time to have sushi. My bestie recommended the California roll. It was amazing! The tempura cheesecake was out of this world! I highly recommend!

6 of us ordered a variety of sushi and sashimi. I am vegetarian and had fried tofu in a sauce and the veggie roll. The tofu was pretty tasteless. The sauce didn't offer much flavor. The sushi fell apart to the touch though presented beautifully. My sweetheart had sashimi which he said was good. Everyone enjoyed the flavored edamame. The service was good but we won't choose this restaurant again. There are too many wonderful Japanese restaurants to enjoy that prepare their food beautifully and with awesome flavor.

The staff is very unattentive. Service is hard to get these days but I am always disappointed when staff socializes more with each other than with customers. The phone rings and rings. Online ordering is easy. The cooks are always great and the presentation of the rolls is on point. The restaurant needs a makeover. Same tables, chairs, and wall hangings for years. The floor is dirty and tables are sticky. The food is fresh and that speaks volumes but no longer my favorite sushi restaurant in Gilroy.

Great local sushi spot. My family has had amazing sushi and teriyaki here for years. Amazing customer service and delicious specialty rolls. I love The Matrix roll and the garlic edamame. Great choice of drinks as well.
