Avaliação da contribuiçãoI have visited this restaurant three times in the past ten days, but I will not be returning. I was disappointed to see the staff allowing a dog to have its feet on the food service counter. I believe a restaurant should not allow animals in the dining area, as it can be unhygienic. I will be taking my business elsewhere, as I value cleanliness and professionalism in a dining establishment. Good luck with your decision to allow dogs in the cafe, but it did not work out well for Silverburn shopping centre.
I had a fantastic breakfast at Summit Cafe, which even included a sausage for my dog. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the freshly baked scones were absolutely delicious.
I was disappointed to find that the cafe has recently changed its menu. It used to offer delicious items like Eggs Benedict for breakfast, but the new menu is heavy on fried foods. Poached eggs are no longer an option, and I had to settle for fried eggs when I tried the Scottish Breakfast that I used to enjoy. The mushrooms seemed dry and shrivelled, the bacon was mediocre, but the haggis and black pudding were passable. The only saving grace was the beans, which were at least edible. Overall, I left feeling very disappointed with the changes.
Don’t be put off by the functional exterior this is a lovely light-filled space with a chilled vibe, great staff and a good selection of cakes and a first rate hot chocolate.
Can’t fault this cafe. Visit here for breakfast, lunch or coffees and cake and never disappointed. Great before/after being in the centre of town as it is easy to park in the car park. Great choice on the menu, all made fresh, very flexible. Staff are delightful, especially manageress. Regulars but never reviewed.
